About Me:

I work as a project officer at the international office of the European anti-trafficking network 'La Strada International'. La Strada started in 1995 as a trilateral anti-trafficking project and has grown into a network operating in nine countries, eight of which are located in Eastern Europe. La Strada member organisations follow a human rights approach to anti-trafficking and support trafficked persons through prevention, social support and reintegration programmes. The international secretariat was set up in 2004, creating an official network of independent NGOs; the secretariat supports member organisations by providing fundraising support and promoting capacity building and information sharing, and organises bi-annual network meetings and an annual NGO platform on the issue of trafficking. My personal background lies in migration studies; I completed a PhD in EU migration management and globalisation and am engaged in political activism fighting racism and promoting social justice and the right to migrate.
